Spring Hike with Complete PT Pool & Land Physical Therapy

CompletePT held our first annual hike in the Santa Monica Mountains on Saturday, April 17th 2010. Current and former patients participated in the hike, along with family, friends, and dogs.

Our physical therapists and exercise experts accompanied hikers on either a 2-mile or 4-mile hike on Westridge Road Trail.

Everybody enjoyed the ocean views and fresh air, surrounded with our happy, helpful staff. The 4-miler began at 8:15 and the 2-mile hike began at 9:00.

Westridge Road:

From Sunset Blvd, go north on Mandeville Canyon Rd. to the first stop sign. Turn left and wind up two miles to the trail head at a dead end.

On a clear day you can see much of Santa Monica Bay, including Catalina Island. This wide fire road is popular from dawn to dusk.

You'll see more dogs on this trail than anywhere else since they are legally off leash. If you can't do the full 8 miles, turn around at the big oak tree after the first downhill. That's the 2-mile mark - so a good 4-mile hike by the time you return to the car.
